'Distancias', de Susan Béjar, sigue en la carrera por los 'Oscar 2022'

Distancias, de Susan Béjar, finalista a los Oscar 2022

El cortometraje español Distancias, dirigido por Susan Béjar, ha pasado el corte principal en la carrera por los ‘Oscar 2022’. La Academia del Cine de Hollywood ha anunciado esta noche las películas finalistas en diez categorías, entre las que se encontraba el cortometraje español. Entre las finalistas también están El buen patrón, en la categoría de mejor película internacional, y el compositor Alberto Iglesias por su trabajo en Madres paralelas.

Una de las ausencias más destacadas de esta edición ha sido el largometraje francés Titane, dirigido por Julia Ducournau y ganador de la Palma de Oro en Cannes 2021. En cambio, otros películas como la japonesa Drive my car, de Ryusuke Hamaguchi, o la italiana È stata la mano di Dio, dirigida por Paolo Sorrentino, parten como favoritas para acabar entre las nominadas.

Aunque la edición pasada, Almodóvar también consiguió llegar a esta fase de la selección con su cortometraje La voz humana, finalmente no logró llegar más lejos. Esperemos que este año, Distancias tenga mejor suerte y finalmente obtenga la nominación al ‘Oscar’.
